Hugely supported by locals, the store is uniquely situated in Bishopsteignton, Devon, which is a sought-after and picturesque village by the coast. Trading day-time opening hours only has provided our clients with an enviable lifestyle over many years. The business is being offered with a renewable lease. Early viewings are highly recommended....

Bishopsteignton is a large village on the north bank of the Teign Estuary, a mile or two West of Teignmouth. It boasts fine views over the estuary and nearby access to beautiful walks and Teignmouth seafront. Little Haldon Heath nature reserve is situated at the top of the village and there is a local museum, church, pubs, local shops and accommodation. Close to the village are great arterial motorways, the A380 being only minutes’ drive away. It is an equal distance to both Torquay and the Cathedral city of Exeter with a mainline railway, M5 motorway and International Airport.

Due to the size of the business premises, it could easily be operated by a couple and many times with only one person. It is seen as a central hub and is hugely supported by the village and visitors. The village draws in an influx of tourists and it is the only convenience shop. The opening hours are currently 7.00 – 18.00 and early closing on a Sunday, but this could easily be extended earlier or later to expand on the already impressive income. It also has un-tapped potential to greatly expand the product range. We the agents feel there is tremendous scope to expand into “parcel drop-off” with DHL, Hermes, eBay or as a ‘click and collect’ to increase profitability. Actual trading account will be made available following a successful formal viewing.
